Much better than I've had there before.. service was on point and my meal was truly delicious!! New ownership seems to have made a big difference..

This place was a little gem. The mushroom appetizer special was unbelievable.

Molto bene! Arancini app was great. Had one of the specials: risotto w chicken - delicious! (They also do half portions (yay!) & the half size was more than I could finish!) Fantastic service by Stephanie at the bar and chef Jordan came out to say hello. Save room to top off dinner with pistachio Gelato and/or a limoncello!

Great wine list! Great Food! Once in the front door, you know you are in for a treat! I look forward to every time I can return!

By far the most amazing food I've ever had. Such an intimate setting and I love how you can watch Nicola and his staff cook from almost any seat in the house. You must try the Shalem's Favorite pasta... it is to die for!

Staff was extremely rude. We arrived after a wedding rehearsal and got a bad vibe as soon as we walked in, almost like the staff was annoyed they were supposed to stay later to attend to us although they were informed ahead of time. (It was also a Friday night and we came in about 9:15pm) Waitress came over one time and never saw her again. Drinks were terrible.

I dined alone, came early. I like the idea of watching the cooks but their conversation about video games lasted almost my entire meal. The calamari was so so. Shalem's pasta was unusual and very good. My waitress was not around when needed which is sad because as I mentioned I came early and they were not busy. This was not the dining experience I had expected.

The food the great. I ordered the pizza and the crust is crisp and has a slight char. Perfect!

Nice atmosphere, very courteous and helpful staff and excellent food. They will also prepare gluten free dishes. Great desserts

Such a shame incident happen we went for Tuesday dinner my little son just throw up.. server screm like she never saw kids... then she give us clothes and tell my mother wipe floor ... I do it that fine.. then she said are he fine you still want to stay here.. pretty much she said leave the restaurant .. then we said just pack our food ... I never write bad reviews even food is not good .. but this is disrespectful ... espacily small kids

Must have been a busy night. Made a reservation using open table. When we arrived they didn't have the reservation. I had received the confirmation via email. Something about Wi-Fi being down. When we did get a table we sat for 20 minutes. Never even got a glass of water. We weren't the only ones either. There were a few other tables with couples looking around wondering what was going on. Not a lot of tables had food. Finally after 20 minutes we left. There were plenty of wait staff running around the tables but I don't know what happened.

Good atmosphere, service, and cuisine. Beet salad is uniquely Nicola's, Smoked Octopus is good, the Italian chardonnay is a solid find; the wife and I are somewhat tired of California and French chardonnays. We had two seconti dishes and both are great quality, but I won't bias your choice by telling you which dishes. I hope you will enjoy experiencing this wonderful quality haut Italian Trattoria.

Special night out celebrating an anniversary my wife and I found a new favorite place to go for an incredible meal. Great food, our server Lauren was a great! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The atmosphere, food and service were great. Bruschetta appetizer was delicious. Wine selection is slightly limited but overall this is a great choice for a quiet relaxing evening.

Just mind blowing excellent food. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Excellent and professional wait staff. Get the chef's table if you can, I was surprised how much fun it was to watch the chef's do there thing!

Really good food and service. Lauren, our waitress was super nice. I eat whole food plant based and they totally accommodated me. Everyone in our group loved their meals. Left thinking this will be our go to place for a nice meal in Keene.

I brought the whole family to celebrate a birthday, 6 of us. The food was great the service was exceptional and we all had a great experience. We sat close to the cooking area and the chef and others cooking were all working hard, fun to watch If I was forced to find some fault then I got to say it was hard to find the door into the place.

World class Italian food! You will not be disappointed.Update changed ownership since last vist. Not the same i would drop a couple of stars if i could.

Food is exceptional and reasonably priced, especially for such quality dishes and great service.

We decided to go here for our 1 year anniversary. The atmosphere is so cozy and romantic and the food was absolutely wonderful. We shared cinnamon almond creme brule which was to die for; by far the best dessert I ever had. What an amazing meal. We will definitely be back.

Delightful atmosphere, wonderful waitress and an attentive bartender. The food was first rate, try the shrimp bisque.

Food is always top notch and service is equally as good. I have never had a bad meal. No hustle and bustle and high means your not rushed and can enjoy your meal and your evening. By far my favorite place to go for those special meals.

The best restaurant in the area by far. A must go if you're from out of town but watch your budget.

Superb food & service. This is the best restaurant in Keene.

Nice place...which was a surprise after driving up to a non descript building. Service was friendly but very slow, the wait was a little long between courses. Bread came out with oil and vinegar...nothing special there. The meatball appetizer was very good. The chicken dish was also very good but the bolognese left much to be desired.

Disappointing visit to Nicola's this time. Every pasta dish was incredibly over-salted, as were many of the appetizers. The Veal Milanese was wonderful as usual. Service was ok, but not up to the usual standards. Maybe it was an off night?

Don’t tell my first generation Sicilian grandfather, but this place gives his cooking a run for his money, excellent service, Jasper our waiter was a top class gentlemen. I love the open kitchen. food ,like I mentioned, was unparrelled only to my Grandpa Joe’s homemade Italian Cuisine.

Delicious, authentic Italian style food which is mostly locally sourced.

Downgrading my review. Not loving things under the new ownership. Service has gone significantly downhill and not liking the changes to the menu or the food.

Some of the best salmon I’ve ever eaten! The service is spectacular and the prices are not bad for the quality of food they are serving. The bar side is great for family’s or adults and the fancier side has the same menu but is best for 2-3 people.

I was pretty disappointed upon visiting this restaurant tonight.. First, the beer and liquor selections were very limited then upon ordering a $30 plate of pasta, I was very surprised that no bread, salad, or soup were included with the meal. I have no problem paying top dollar for a quality dinner however the price per meal was certainly not matched by what this restaurant was offering. Very over priced - would not recommend.
